The name Anderida was inspired by the Anderida Forest, which is the name given to the woodland that separated the south of England from the City of London during the Roman Conquest, now known as the Ashdown Forest. It is also thought that the word Anderida is a derivative of Andred, which in English means ‘best’ or ‘wonderful’.

Our dedicated team offers the best quality of care, ensuring optimum health and wellbeing tailored to the needs of each individual.

All of our practitioners are highly qualified and experienced in their field and are registered and insured by their relative governing bodies.

LAURA POPLE - Director & Principal Osteopath

Established in April 2015, The Anderida Practice began with the vision of a truly lovely individual who planted the seeds of a brilliant concept.

Today, this vision is brought to life by Laura Pople, whose journey with The Anderida Practice began in 2015 when she initially rented rooms. Laura has a deeply rooted connection to Forest Row, having grown up here and attended Michael Hall School. Her parents raised her with a holistic approach, seeking osteopaths and homeopaths for any ailment.

From a young age, Laura was inspired by the renowned osteopath Stuart Korth, whose treatments she received as a child. This early experience ignited her passion for osteopathy, and she aspired to create the same healing magic she felt. Laura trained at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in London, earning a BSc (Hons) in Osteopathic Medicine, DO ND, in 1998. With over 20 years of practice, her career journey is rich with diverse experiences. She has worked in busy London practices, health clubs, and the Osteopathic Centre for Children, where she completed her Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy in 2003. She has also run her own practices both abroad and in the UK.

In her late 20s, Laura travelled to Asia, where life led her to Bali. Settling there, she started a family while simultaneously establishing a successful osteopathic practice. During her time in Bali, Laura was blessed to have the opportunity to practice at the Birthing Centre Bumi Sehat, where she gained invaluable experience and knowledge in treating mothers and babies. Immersing herself in the practices of Balinese healers, Laura gained invaluable experience that profoundly influenced her approach to osteopathy. Inspired by their methods, she embarked on refining her practice, integrating more energetic techniques, and delving deeper into her understanding of holistic health. This transformative journey led to the development of a unique approach that addresses both physical and subtle energetic levels, enhancing the effectiveness and depth of her holistic healing practice.

At the heart of Laura's mission is a complementary health practice that offers a wide range of treatments and therapies for both physical and mental well-being, supporting the whole being. Also close to her heart is the vision that every human being should have access to the holistic help and support they need, and that money should never be a barrier. Laura set up the Anderida Project Community Interest Company, which allowed for providing low-cost treatments and therapies, making holistic healthcare accessible to all individuals and families in need.

Over the past two years, Laura, along with her close friends Rebecca Wheatley and Clare Shaw, realised their dream of founding a low-cost, affordable children's clinic. With funding from the National Lottery, they established the Acorn Children's Clinic, ensuring that holistic healthcare is accessible to all families in need.

At The Anderida Practice, patients are invited to embark on a journey of holistic healing, where body, mind, and spirit come together in harmony. Laura envisions creating a space where everyone is welcome to receive the health and wellness support they need to live their happiest, healthiest, and fullest lives. She holds deep appreciation for the amazing team at The Anderida Practice, a group of highly experienced and specialised practitioners who have come together naturally and magically. Laura sees great things to come and enjoys every step of the way, trusting the unfolding as she listens to the needs of the community.
