TEEN Self Exploration Workshops - Week 1/6

  • The Anderida Practice Forest Row, England, RH18 United Kingdom (map)

The workshop is suitable for any young adult aged from 13 to 16 years of age. In a small group environment of up to six participants they will aim to find out more about themselves and build connections with other members.

It’s common to feel that we don’t fit in particularly at this age and the group will provide a space to build confidence and become curious about who they are as an individual. Its structured to give young adults more focus, stop life from feeling chaotic and give them strength to prevent getting into habits that aren't helpful

The participants do not need to be “good” at art but it may help if they like it, or more importantly are prepared to give it a go. Art offers the opportunity to have fun by being creative and to self explore gently at their own pace.

In the initial weeks they will create an artistic safe space, exploring what helps them feel secure. With different art projects the participants will be encouraged to examine their own talents, individual characteristics, desires and intentions. Looking at their body sensations by drawing body maps they will connect with their senses, breathing and emotions, helping them to understand how their body and mind are connected.

Having doubts, fears and anxieties are after all part of life which can be used as positive guides in steering our life journey.
