A guided workshop for men to learn the basics of Thai Massage, deepen self-awareness, space-holding ability and body listening skills.
In our society, men's experiences with touch can often be limited to brief, superficial interactions or confined to intimate relationships. This workshop provides a space to broaden our experience of touch, using this ancient bodywork art as a vehicle. We will practice holding space for one another as we give and receive through guided massage sessions. We will gain takeaway skills to share with those around us and be inspired to integrate more embodiment practices into our lives.
This is a hands-on workshop, but there will also be space for us to verbally share our experiences with one another.
Join us in this communal space, embracing the darker days of the year together, to deepen our embodied self-awareness and share some good rejuvenating bodywork.
Led by Justin Philpott, Thai Massage practitioner, teacher, and multidisciplinary mover with a background in Contact Improvisation and martial arts.
