What is EFT and how can it help you? 

Emotional Freedom Technique is an alternative treatment for physical pain and emotional distress. 

How does it work? 

EFT is a simple but effective procedure. It involves focussing on the problem and simultaneously tapping on a set of points on the face, body and hands. These points are part of the meridian system, the energy pathways discovered 4000 years ago, which make up the basis for acupuncture. There is a significant amount of strong clinical and scientific evidence to prove that EFT does work and causes rapid, profound and lasting transformations. It’s best to try it out yourself and get first-hand experience. No drugs or equipment are involved and it can be easily learned and self-administered.

The EFT process draws important influence, especially for deep emotional and psychological issues, from the many people who have contributed over the ages to the understanding of human psychology. EFT owes much to the work of Dr George Goodheart, the founder of Applied Kinesiology, and Dr Roger Callahan, the founder of TFT Thought Field Therapy. In the early ‘90s, one of Dr Callahan’s former students, Gary Craig, simplified the complicated TFT algorithms and made the process universally applicable for all. It was found that after stimulating the body’s well-established energy meridian points by tapping on them with one’s fingertips, mental, emotional and physical issues were successfully cleared away and emotional debris in the form of blocks in the energy meridians could be removed. Thus, EFT was born. 

Though often overlooked, emotional health is absolutely essential to your physical health and healing. No matter how devoted you are to a proper diet and lifestyle, you will not achieve your body’s ideal healing and preventative powers if emotional barriers stand in your way. EFT is a powerful way to support your emotional health.

Sam trained with Karl Dawson, one of only 28 EFT Founding Masters worldwide and the Director of Training for EFTMRA, the world’s largest EFT certification body. Sam has additional qualifications in Anatomy & Physiology, Stress Management and she is a qualified Craniosacral Therapist. She has a BSc (Hons) Biological Sciences.

Sam has been a corporate trainer for 21 years and has over 30+ years of expertise working in health, science, and scientific research, holistic therapies and cognitive coaching.

She not only teaches these methods to her clients, but lives and models them in her own life as well.  

At age 50, Sam continues to teach happy ageing and improved wellness with her trademark approach, utilising the lightness of laughter, powerful relaxation techniques, and her magnetic energy and enthusiasm – all of which are on clear display in her breakthrough book, Laugh More: Soar in Your Health, Career and Relationships.

She has worked with individuals with additional needs, including dementia, autism, brain injuries, and partial sight and loss of speech. Her oldest client was 99 and her youngest was 4 days old.

Sam has a background in science, health and positive psychology. With a BSc. in Biological Sciences, as well as qualifications in anatomy and physiology, she uses proven strategies from neuroscience and best practices. She is a certified Mental Health First Aider. She also has an IAFPD Certificate in Coaching, and is a Professional member of The International Stress Management Association [ISMAUK], the leading professional body for workplace and personal stress management, well-being and performance.

She was born in the UK from a mixed-heritage background, and has resided both in the north and south of England. Sam shares to inspire and support you, whatever your circumstance, and strives to meet you where you are.
