Celebrating a Year of Growth and Gratitude at Anderida Practice
As 2024 comes to a close, we’re filled with gratitude for all the growth and new possibilities at the Anderida Practice this past year.
It’s been a year of new beginnings, stronger connections, and meaningful service. All of this has been made possible by our heartfelt mission to offer complementary health care support to the community. From launching innovative programmes to expanding our impact, we’ve grown together in ways we once only dreamed of.
In addition to our one-to-one services, we’ve started new community projects and expanded our existing ones. Thanks to vital funding, including a transformative £20,000 grant from the National Lottery, we’ve been able to expand existing projects and introduce new initiatives for the community.
Here’s a quick look into everything we’ve achieved this year and how you can be part of what’s next!
Funding Success and New Opportunities
In May, we received a transformative grant of £20,000 from the National Lottery. This funding has been the foundation for so much of what we’ve achieved this year.
This year, the Acorn Children’s Clinic continued to thrive, offering affordable acupuncture and osteopathy to families who need it most. Thanks to the National Lottery funding, we’ve expanded our capacity and supported more children and families than ever before.
In November, we launched the Community Pain Relief Clinic, a groundbreaking initiative offering low-cost acupuncture, osteopathy, and physiotherapy in a multi-bed setting. Thanks to partial funding from the National Lottery, we’ve been able to provide 100 treatments to those who may not otherwise have access to complementary healthcare. Limited spaces are still available for January 2025 appointments, so don’t wait to secure your spot.
Oak Wellness Class:
A supportive space for older adults to move their bodies, connect with others, and experience the strength of community support. This class has become a beacon of joy and connection for many, and we’re delighted to confirm that it will continue in 2025.
Teen Yoga
Led by the wonderful Sarah Delfas, this affordable class at just £5 per session supports the physical and mental health of young people in our community. We’ve been running this programme throughout 2024 and are excited to continue this offering in January 2025.
Teen Art Workshops
In collaboration with Sarah Thilo, we’ve launched this meaningful programme of Artistic Self Exploration for Teens. This is a special opportunity to support young people’s mental health through art and creativity in a professional, held, and safe space. Spaces are still available—please register to join us in this transformative experience.
A Heartfelt Thanks to Our Practitioners!
As the year draws to a close, we want to take a moment to express our deep gratitude to our wonderful team of practitioners. Their holistic health wisdom, dedication, and intuition truly make the Anderida Practice what it is. With a warm and caring approach, they provide essential support to their clients, helping to nurture their wellbeing.
Our team offers a wide range of complementary therapies, including acupuncture, osteopathy, physiotherapy, counselling, psychotherapy, and therapeutic massage, to name just a few. Their high standard of training, experience, and professionalism, alongside their intuitive understanding of each person’s needs, is at the heart of our work, supporting the community with a holistic, mindful approach to health.
We are also deeply grateful for Eoni’s community clinic, which continues to support the local community. With the care of craniosacral therapist Dorothea Leber and acupuncturist Kirsten Germann, the clinic offers affordable acupuncture and craniosacral therapy in a welcoming multibed setting. The clinic is helping to heal and support many members of the community.
Workshops and Events: Bringing the Community Together
This year was filled with enriching events that brought people closer together and fostered growth and healing. From sound healing sessions to angelic healing evenings, health talks, and specialised yoga workshops, there was something for everyone!
We also launched the Anderida Yoga Tribe, offering affordable community rates for a variety of Yoga Classes. Thanks to Cathy Gorrett, Emily Gilchrist, and Tim Johnson, these classes have become a cornerstone for many in our community.
Starting January 2025, we’ll resume our morning yoga sessions—perfect for those who love to start their day with mindfulness and energy. For busy schedules, these classes are a wonderful way to align and energise before heading into the day.
We’re got lots more planned for 2025 so stay tuned for announcements, and don’t forget to sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know!
