Celebrating Success: The Impact of Acorn Children's Clinic on Our Community

At Acorn Children's Clinic, our mission has always been clear: to provide accessible and affordable complementary healthcare to families in need within our community. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of financial constraints. Over the past year, we've had the honour of witnessing countless success stories and transformations in children’s and families' lives.

One such success story comes from a parent who sought help for her 11-year-old daughter. Struggling with a range of physical and psychological issues, her daughter found relief and healing through our clinic. She reflects on her experience, sharing, "I was recommended Acorn Children’s Clinic by a friend, who had a very good experience."

She continues, "Every session was an easy flow of pleasant conversation to find out about the issues in a very discreet way, which was very non-invasive for my daughter. To me, it was rich in insight of what was going on, how the body and psyche works."

It's a fabulous bottom-up approach to resolving trauma. My daughter looks forward to sessions and is always more in her social engagement system after the session. Less shut down. Less anxious."

We also understand that financial constraints should never be a barrier to receiving complementary healthcare. We continue to make every effort to secure ongoing funding and offer a sliding scale payment option, allowing families to pay what they can afford as a token of gratitude for our services. This parent expresses her appreciation for this flexibility, stating, 'I also value the sliding scale form of payment, which gives the clients freedom of choice of how much they want to pay to say thank you for the amazing service and according to what they can afford.'
